Once you have sent us some photos of your object using the Get a Quote form, we will take a look and provide you with a quote. If you are unsure on the 3D printing materials and colours we can give our recommendations at this stage.
Our reverse engineering service is designed for businesses and individuals that are looking to turn a physical object into a 3D printed object.
To produce the physical objects in 3D design we use an affordable and in many cases more accurate alternative to 3D scanners, which is by using electronic measuring calipers to take key measurements and reproduce the object in our 3D design software. Our designers are experienced in producing 3D designs specifically for 3D printing. We also have a range of 3D printers, both FDM (Filament based) and SLA (Resin based), that can produce great quality prints with a focus on affordability.
Once you have sent us a photo of the physical object by completing the Get a Quote form, we will then take a look and assess whether the object is suitable and provide you with a quote for creating the 3D design and 3D printing it. This will include a timeframe for creating the design and the subsequent 3D printing. As soon as we get your approval we can get to work right away.
Once your approval has been given, we will send you a link to complete the payment (we accepts credit/debit card, PayPal or bank transfer). For larger orders 50% can be paid before and the balance once the work has been completed. We will then need to have the physical object so we can create the design, this can either be dropped off at our Portsmouth studio or posted to us.
Once the designing and 3D printing have been completed we will email you the design files and the 3D prints as well as the original physical object can either be collected from our Portsmouth studio or delivered.
